FALL ORIENTATION PROGRAMMING
While Orientation is a required event for all incoming students, there are important reasons why you should attend.
You will be able to:
- Familiarize yourself with the campus
- Meet peers, build connections, and hear from current Bobcats!
- Learn about academic expectations
- Understand college policies and procedures
- Discover student support services
- Reduce worries and adjust to college life experiences
How does it work?
Orientation is a three-part experience that begins with Online Pre-Orientation and continues throughout the summer.
- Online Pre-Orientation: Complete this one-hour online experience at least 2 weeks prior to your Orientation date. Online Pre-Orientation opened June 5th.
- Orientation Day (In-person): You and your guest(s) will hear from current students and staff about what it means to be a successful student. This on-campus full-day experience is designed for you as well as your family and supporters. At orientation, you will get connected, get motivated, and get prepared.
- Webinar (Online): Participate in a live webinar to continue learning about resources to help you be successful at UC Merced. The webinar will focus on Financing Your University Education. For a recording of this live webinar session, click here.
