SUMMER BRIDGE ON-CAMPUS EXPERIENCE!
Do you want to come to campus?
The UC Merced SUMMER BRIDGE program is designed to help you advance in mathematics, build resilience, improve your academic skills, make friends, and learn about campus before fall semester begins. Summer Bridge Peer Mentors will be there to help you have fun, socialize and stay on track with your courses. Come to campus early and start your college years Bobcat Strong!
Enroll:
- The priority deadline to apply is Tuesday, May 19, 2026!
- Program Dates: July 6 – August 14, 2026 (on-campus move-in July 5)
- Courses: Pre-Calculus or Calculus I (4 units), SPARK 010, I am a Researcher (2 units), and USTU 010, College Success (1 unit)
Financial Aid is Available:
- Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA as soon as possible: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa The UC Merced school code is 041271
Housing:
- On-campus housing is available. Please apply for Summer Session C housing ASAP if you want to live on campus for Summer Bridge.

Summer Bridge Perks:
- Students in Summer Bridge may also participate in the Summer Bridge Research Experience the week of August 17-21.
- Summer Bridge students who pass their summer courses will receive priority registration for Spring Semester 2027!

- Take advantage of Summer Edge free, non-credit, online classes to help you prepare for college-level math, writing, and chemistry.
- Start your UC Merced experience this summer from home?
Are you ready for the academic challenge of UC Merced?
- Come join an online learning community with other first-year students and sharpen your skills and knowledge as you prepare for college.
- This convenient, 6-week online program will help you prepare for math, writing, and/or chemistry at UC Merced.

- Placement exam retake begins on August 7, 2026 if you finish your Edge class!
