- Enroll in Accelerate to take your first math course and take your SPARK general education requirement.
Start your UC Merced experience this summer on campus with Accelerate!
- Accelerate is designed to give you a head start in math.
- It will help you build resilience, improve your academic skills, make friends and learn about campus resources before fall semester begins!
Enroll:
- The priority deadline to apply is Tuesday, May 6, 2025!
- Program Dates: July 7-August 15, 2025 (Session C)Program dates: June 30 - August 8, 2025
- Courses: Math 005, Precalculus, or Math 11, Calculus I, or Math 21, Calculus I for Physical Sciences & Engineering (4 units), and SPARK 010, I am a Researcher (2 units), and USTU 010, College Success (1 unit).
- The cost of the program with housing is approximately $5,200, but financial aid is available! https://financialaid.ucmerced.edu/summer
Financial Aid:
- Complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA as soon as possible. https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa The UC Merced school code is 041271
Housing:
- On-campus housing is available
- Please apply for Summer Session C housing ASAP if you want to live on campus for Accelerate

- Take advantage of Summer Edge free, non-credit, online classes to help you prepare for college-level math, writing, chemistry, and computer science.
- Start your UC Merced experience this summer from home?
Are you ready for the academic challenge of UC Merced?
- Come join an online learning community with other first-year students and sharpen your skills and knowledge as you prepare for college.
- This convenient, 6-week online program will help you prepare for math, writing, computer science, and/or chemistry at UC Merced.
Enroll:
