We are the primary office of academic records: from your first day of classes at UC Merced through your graduation day and everything in between! Speaking of the first day of classes, this is the month you will register for your Fall 2026 courses! You can check the date and time you will register by logging into UC Merced Connect, clicking on My Registration and selecting "Prepare for Registration".

Continuing with course registration, UC Merced has launched Smart Start to make your first semester easier. If you're a new freshman (not a transfer) and register for Orientation by June 3, you'll be automatically enrolled in a pre-planned schedule (12-18 units) of fall classes. For additional assistance, on the week of June 15, you will receive an email from your academic advisor with information about registration, advisor assignments, and other helpful tips. In the meantime, you can begin to prepare for registration using tools within Bobcat Advising Center.
