HOW to view and Pay Your Bill

Log in to the My Merced section of UC Merced Connect at connect.ucmerced.edu/student and select My Bill to view the amount you owe. Student bills are a static picture representing charges and credits, including financial aid and loans, for a term as of the time the student bill is generated. For current up-to-date information, click on the Activity Details tab in My Bill. For instructions on how to navigate and make a payment, view our how-to videos. Pay the balance in full or enroll in the Deferred Payment Plan by the payment deadline to avoid a hold on your account, or being dropped from classes.

Payment Methods

  • Online: eCheck, and credit/debit card payments (plus processing fee)
  • In Person: Cash, chashier's check, personal checks and money orders
  • By mail: Checks, money orders and 529 Plans

Financial Aid disbursements

Financial aid disburses (posts) to student accounts no earlier than 10 days prior to the first day of instruction of each term. The following requirements must be met:

  • Generally, you must be enrolled in at least 12 units unless approved for part-time instruction.
  • Submit all required documentation.
  • Accept aid and Terms and Conditions.

Deferred Payment Plan

The Deferred Payment Plan (DPP) offers the option to pay registration fees and on-campus housing charges (if applicable) in four monthly installments per term. DPP enrollment is per term and you must enroll every term you wish to be enrolled. To qualify for the DPP, the following must be met:

  • Your current term balance must be at least $500.
  • The first installment plus the nonrefundable $40 participation fee must be paid at the time of enrollment.

To enroll, log in to the My Merced section of UC Merced Connect, select My Bill, then choose Payment Plan. For instructions on how to enroll in the DPP, watch the how-to video.

Student Refunds

We encourage you to sign up for Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) if you are expecting a refund. With EFT, you have the convenience of your refund going directly to a bank account. Those funds will be accessible in 3 to 5 business days (Monday – Friday). You can sign up for EFT using the Electronic Student Refund link in UC Merced Connect. For instructions on how to enroll in EFT, watch the how-to video. Students who have not enrolled in EFT will be issued a paper check that will be sent to the mailing address on record in our student system. The check will arrive in 7 to 10 business days (Monday – Friday).
