DISCOVER LIVE PERFORMANCES, EXHIBITIONS, AND PUBLIC ART AT UC MERCED

UC Merced Arts brings creativity to campus and the broader community through concerts, exhibitions, student-centered programs, public art, and special events throughout the year. Whether you are attending your first concert, visiting La Galería between classes, or discovering public art across campus, the arts are part of the Bobcat experience!

2026/27 ARTS SEASON

Each year, UC Merced Arts presents a season of live performances and community programs featuring music, dance, storytelling, cultural celebration, and interdisciplinary work. Many events are designed with students in mind, including free or low-cost tickets, campus engagement opportunities, and chances to connect with visiting artists. Our full 2026/27 season will be announced in mid-July – stay tuned for concert dates, ticket information, and student opportunities!

LA GALERÍA

Located in El Portal, La Galería is UC Merced’s primary exhibition space and a welcoming place to experience art on campus. Exhibitions highlight artists from the region and beyond, student creativity, UC Merced’s growing Permanent Collection, and projects that connect art with culture, history, community, and research. Each Spring, UC Merced Arts also presents the Bobcat Art Show, an annual exhibition featuring artwork by students, faculty, and staff. As a first-year student, it’s a great opportunity to see what your peers are creating, get inspired, and imagine how you might share your own creative work on campus. Stop by during the year to see what is on view, attend an opening reception, or explore how visual art can be part of your UC Merced experience. La Galería is open Wednesday – Saturday from 12 – 6pm during the academic year. Join us for special events including our New Student Orientation Night on August 23 and the campus-wide Orientation Open House on August 25.

Art is all around UC Merced. As you explore campus, you will encounter public artworks, murals, sculptures, and gathering spaces that reflect the creativity and identity of our university community. From La Galería to live performances in Merced and the campus art you’ll discover along the way, UC Merced Arts invites you to make the arts part of your Bobcat experience.
