From August 25 through October 3, you’re invited to participate in activities, programs, and workshops where you'll discover everything you need to feel connected, confident, and ready to thrive! Meet new friends at events, experience annual campus traditions, sharpen your academic skills, and connect with the people and services that will support you throughout your time as a Bobcat. Every event and workshop is an opportunity to build your community, discover new opportunities, and make UC Merced feel like home. We can't wait to see you at Bobcat Compass—your journey starts here! The Bobcat Compass schedule will be available in Connect on Tuesday, August 25th. Be sure you’ve downloaded the Connect App to navigate Bobcat Compass and other semester start activities!

Clubs and Organizations
There are 250+ clubs and organizations at UC Merced, covering just about every interest and passion. If you can’t find a club that’s in your niche, you can start your own! You can find a list on CatLife, where you’ll also find a calendar of events and news.
Fraternity and Sorority Life
Joining a fraternity or sorority is a good first step in becoming involved on campus and forging relationships with your fellow students! Greek life at UC Merced is thriving: There are 20 chapters of fraternities and sororities that emphasize leadership, scholarship, service and friendship. Learn more about how to join here.
UNIVERSITY STORE
Shop official University of California, Merced apparel, textbooks, merchandise and gear at the University of California, Merced Bookstore. The bookstore is an authorized Apple reseller and sells laptops, iPads and Apple accessories. You also can buy discounted technology from Dell and Microsoft!
CLASSROOM AdvenTOURS
We encourage you to explore the Classroom AdvenTOURS program. It is designed to help you locate buildings, find your classrooms and labs, and ensure that you know how to navigate campus like an experienced Bobcat! Tours are offered Aug. 24-26, and you can sign up here. Please register for a time slot by noon, August 18. Space is limited, so don't delay!
