Putting the Strategic Plan to Work

The university-wide strategic plan put in place last year is playing a pivotal role in a realigned budget process. The “budget call” for currently underway for fiscal year 2022-23 requires that financial decisions be informed by the goals of the strategic plan, which is designed to guide UC Merced into the year 2030. The budget call also places more responsibility on school and division leaders to shape their fiscal pictures.
