UC Merced Connect
Working on Phase 2
UC Merced Connect, your digital gateway to campus information and resources, is already an award winner. But the Connect team, never one to rest on its laurels, is deep into a Phase 2 process that will create new experiences and upgrade existing ones.
The app took top honors in awards handed out by Modo Labs, which developed the platform on which Connect is built. Connect was named Best Overall/Best Unified App in the annual Appademy Awards, a juried contest that recognizes colleges and universities that have used Modo to build exemplary digital experiences.
Connect, a project of the Office of Information Technology and the Division of External Relations, launched last fall. It currently has few thousand unique daily visitors taking advantage of the one-stop shop for communications, administrative tasks, calendar updates and other essential university functions. The Phase 2 enhancements are expected to be launched this fall.

New Location for University Bookstore
There’s a lot to explore in the part of UC Merced built in the final phase of the Merced 2020 Project, completed a few months into the coronavirus pandemic. One jewel is tucked into a first-floor corner of the new Administration Building.
It’s where you’ll find the new University Store, a one-stop shop for all things Bobcats. The store, operated by Follett, features UC Merced hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other branded apparel. Looking for UC Merced tailgate chairs or diploma frames? They've got that, too. Students also can order new and used textbooks.
The University Store is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (or online 24/7). Stop by and say hello!
